Unicorn Escape

You are a happy unicorn, but you have fallen down a big hole and find yourself in some caves. So you need to jump around the cave system to regain your rainbow powers so you can escape.

This game was made for the js13kGames 2026 gamejam. It’s a small metroidvania style adventure game where you have to find the rainbow colours which are hidden around the cave system. Each colour gives you a new ability until eventually you can fly out of the caves to freedom. The entire game, the level, assets, and music all fit in under 13 kilobytes. These days an email is bigger than that.

Unicorn Escape is the first public game I have made with my micro game engine, BeepMicro. BeepMicro is vector based and draws everything live in the browser which helps to keep the file size down.
